WHAT DO PEOPLE COME TO YOU FOR?
No one is born a mistake. In fact, your existence is proof you’re needed. There is something you’ve been tasked to do, a problem you were born to solve, a need you’re equipped to meet.
The real glory of our existence is not in the luxurious things we own or have, it’s in doing what we have been tasked to do, solving the problems we’re born to solve and meeting the needs of our generation.
You are as valuable to your generation as the solutions you bring to the problems in it. If you fail to birth forth God’s purpose for your life, you will live ordinary and die with your potentials untapped.
My question to you in this post is: WHAT DO PEOPLE COME TO YOU FOR?
What is that specific theme, area, niche, need, problem that people come to you to help them solve or shed light on?
– Have you found it? If you have, what are you doing about it?
– If you haven’t, what are you doing to find it?
The Bible says “you are the light of the world” [Matthew 5:14]. That problem you were born to solve is the light you carry in a dark world. The need you’re equipped to meet is the solution you carry in this chaotic world.
Let me say that again in plain English – you are a light in this dark world but until you choose to shine, YOUR WORLD will remain dark.
The reason it appears you are in obscurity, and no one is noticing you or appear to even care if you exist is because you have refused to shine your light. You have refused to give expression to the purpose of God for your life.
Purpose gives God expression in your life. And God is THE LIGHT. No wonder the Bible says, “And THE LIGHT shines in darkness, and the darkness comprehended it not. [John 1:5].
I love how The Message Bible says it – “The Life-Light blazed out of the darkness; the darkness couldn’t put it out”. Hear this, no one can block your shine or put you out if you are fulfilling God’s purpose for your life.
A purposeful man or woman isn’t just beaming ordinary light. You are shining THE LIGHT! God is THE LIGHT – the one expressing Himself through you.
And no one shines THE LIGHT and remain ordinary! You become more than conquerors. You become a force to reckon with.
Again, what are people coming to you for? What problem are you born to solve? What are you doing about it?

You Need Clarity of Purpose
In 2017, I applied to speak at TEDx. Rejected. In 2018, I applied again. Rejected. In 2019, I applied twice—both times, again, rejected. But I didn’t stop. Why? Because I was stubborn about my purpose. Like the widow in Luke 18 who kept returning to the judge, pleading for justice, I kept showing up. I kept believing that one day, the door would open. Eventually, it did. That TEDx stage didn’t come because I was the most eloquent or the most visible—it came because I refused to give up. I’ve learnt that any success you desire in life will demand persistence. Not talent, not applause, not connections—persistence. When all else fails, try persistence. When clarity is blurry, try persistence. When the applause is absent and the doors are locked—try persistence. Seest thou a man diligent in his work? He shall stand before kings (Proverbs 22:29). If I could share one counsel with every dreamer, it would be this: Be stubborn about your purpose. Be relentless in your pursuit. For in due season, you will reap—if you faint not. I believe in you.
