WATCH WHAT YOU SAY

"Samuel, I have a problem", he said. "See, when I was about 5 years old, my father and I would wrestle (that was how his father plays with him and his brother)".

"And obviously, he would easily wrestle me to the floor and say these words, "You are a bum. You will always be a bum." (Meaning: you're a loser and you will always be a loser).

He is probably in his mid to late 50s but those words have haunted him since and they still do.
He said no matter how much he tries to achieve anything; those words would come back to him and he'd feel he doesn't deserve any of his successes.

He has low self-esteem as a result and really doesn't believe he can achieve much in life.
We spoke endlessly and I believe I was able to help him and shared with him how he could change that story of his.

But that's not what I want to share with you today, I wanted to share a few lessons from his story:
1. Be careful of the words you allow people to sow into your life. Words are seeds and your mind/soul is (a very fertile) soil. Reject what is not good for you and accept what is good for your mind.

2. Parents, be careful what you say to your children. Don't hurt their future through your careless words.

3. Nothing ruins potentials more than low-self esteem and the opinions of others. If you have these two traits in your life, please get all the help you need. Send me a message for a start.

4. No one has the right to call you what God hasn't named you. Let me say that again in another way, people's opinion of you should not be your reality!

5. Anything words, opinions that you have allowed into you before now can be renounced. Every day, repeat and affirm yourself the exact opposite of those opinions or declarations. Very soon, your reality would change.

6. If your life has been stagnant, retrogressive, or dreadful, think deeply about some of the opinions that have been sown into you. Take stock of them and do the needful (#1 above).

7. Only God determines your potential and what you can achieve! And guess what? Your potentials in God are infinite. You can achieve anything you set your mind to achieve. You can do ALL THINGS through Christ.

Don't believe the lies no more. You are more than the opinions of people about you.

I believe in you!

Looking at my life today, some might assume I was born with a golden spoon in my mouth. They see the progress, the platforms, the opportunities, the impact—and they conclude, “He must have had it all figured out from the start.” But here’s the truth... I wasn’t born with a golden spoon. In fact, I wasn’t even born with a spoon at all. The circumstances surrounding my birth were far from rosy. My beginning was rough, humble, and almost forgettable by the standards of this world. There was nothing to suggest that I would one day stand where I stand today, speak as I speak today, or do what I do today. But I was helped. I was helped by God. That’s the only reason I’ve come this far. And that, dear friend, is why I’m writing this—to remind you that it doesn’t matter where or how you were born . Your background, no matter how limiting or disadvantaged, cannot stop God’s plan for your life. You may not have had the best education. You may have been born into poverty. You may have been rejected, neglected, abandoned or overlooked. But when God steps into your life , He rewrites the story. He is not intimidated by your limitations. In fact, He specializes in using the foolish things of this world to confound the wise. He lifts the poor from the dust and sets them among princes (Psalm 113:7-8). You don’t need a silver spoon, golden spoon, or any spoon at all. All you need is His help . My life is a testament to this truth: God still helps men. He still lifts. He still promotes. He still turns nobodies into wonders. And I believe the same will happen for you. If you will let Him, If you will trust Him, If you will surrender your life to Him… You will become a miracle. You will become a wonder. Your story will be one that generations will talk about. So here’s my charge to you: Stop disqualifying yourself based on your background. Stop underestimating what God can do through you. Stop comparing your journey with someone else’s. Instead, start seeking God’s help. Start walking in faith. Start declaring His promises over your life. Because your story—yes, YOUR story—is not over yet. In fact, it’s just beginning. You are next in line for a miracle. I believe in you!
