THE KEY TO YOUR VALUE IN LIFE

Imagine juggling two or three balls in the air with one hand. You are an expert juggler, and you are able to juggle more than one ball at a time.

While you may think you're juggling quite well, what you don't realise is that you can't have all the balls up in the air at the same time.

One has to stay up, and another down for you to juggle effectively. Same with our purpose.

Neuroscientists have found that there is no such thing as an 'effective multitasker'. The brain is only able to process and pay attention to one thing at a time, so multitasking actually reduces productivity.

When people say they are multitasking, what they are really doing is switching between tasks quite rapidly; in other words, we're starting something and stopping another, and starting another thing, and stopping another in quick succession.

Like the juggler, you can't keep all the balls in the air at the same time, the same way, you can't effectively be doing loads of things at the same time.

This is key to your value in life. You must find the one thing that is key to your life and fulfilment of purpose, and focus your life on it.

Jesus went to visit two sisters one day. One (Martha) was busy and full of activities, the other (Mary) chose to sit at the feet of Jesus to learn.

What Jesus said about her choice is worth studying. He said, "Mary has chosen the good part, and no one will take it away from her".

Mary refused to be bogged down by activities, she knew the most important thing was to focus on Jesus, and she did exactly that.

What is your one thing? Have you found it? Have you tried asking God about it? Have you tried seeking guidance on it?

You must find it. It is the key to your effectiveness, productivity, consistency, and value in your race.

I believe in you.

You Need Clarity of Purpose
August 24, 2025
In 2017, I applied to speak at TEDx. Rejected. In 2018, I applied again. Rejected. In 2019, I applied twice—both times, again, rejected. But I didn’t stop. Why? Because I was stubborn about my purpose. Like the widow in Luke 18 who kept returning to the judge, pleading for justice, I kept showing up. I kept believing that one day, the door would open. Eventually, it did. That TEDx stage didn’t come because I was the most eloquent or the most visible—it came because I refused to give up. I’ve learnt that any success you desire in life will demand persistence. Not talent, not applause, not connections—persistence. When all else fails, try persistence. When clarity is blurry, try persistence. When the applause is absent and the doors are locked—try persistence. Seest thou a man diligent in his work? He shall stand before kings (Proverbs 22:29). If I could share one counsel with every dreamer, it would be this: Be stubborn about your purpose. Be relentless in your pursuit. For in due season, you will reap—if you faint not. I believe in you.
