PURPOSE WILL COST YOU EVERYTHING
Your purpose will cost you everything!
Let that sink in for minute.
Now, let me expatiate.
You see, when Jesus called His first disciples, Peter and his brother Andrew, all He said to them was, "Follow me and I will make you fishers of men". [Matthew 4:19]
That was all they heard, and all they needed to hear.
Guess what? The Bible recorded, "They immediately left their nets and followed Him"
The word, "immediately" there is so powerful.
One of the things God has been showing me lately, is that Obedience is a journey but it starts with an immediate step.
It starts with faith! Believing without seeing. Acting immediately as you're told.
God will only show you where He is taking you; He will often leave the details of how you will get there out but you must still trust Him by leaving everything else to obey Him.
I have a question for you today, what is your own "nets" today?
What is that thing you are not willing to leave to pursue your purpose?
Some of you, it's the security of the rat race of your career, for some, it's the praise and opinions of people about them, for some it's the pursuit of wealth and affluence, for others, it's the need to belong to a group of people.
Listen, purpose will cost you your nets, and if you are going to live a fulfilled and successful life in God's account, you must be willing to let go of your nets today!
You know your nets. You may pretend as if you don't but you do.
God has been speaking to you all along. You know what's holding you back.
Don't let them hold you back anymore!

Picture an eagle in a cage. No matter how beautiful the cage is, the eagle was not designed to live in a cage. It was designed to soar on the highest heights and mountains with courage and flair. No matter the lure of the cage, it can never surpass the freedom of the eagle soaring in all expanse of the skies in all of its glories and strength. Like the eagle trapped, too many brilliant, gifted, called individuals are trapped in the cage of careers they were not designed for. They can never command their true worth and value, they can only eat the crumbs they are being fed by their captors. The lure of salaries and pennies that will never satisfy keeps them in such cages. They would rather remain in the rat race than take the risks for their freedom and glory. The Bible says, "If the Son (Jesus) sets you free, you will be free indeed." - John 8:36 As a child of God, you can break free! You were not designed to be caged! Any job that does not give you the freedom to express your gifts, talents and calling is a cage. One of the biggest graveyards of purpose I see is this graveyard of unfulfilling careers. People get jobs only for the sake of earning, rather than fulfilling their life's calling and pursuing what matters to them. But here's the truth: The careers you were not designed for will not satisfy you. They will leave you with voids and emptiness. At the end of your career, you would lack true legacy, influence and impact. Your time to break free is now. I believe in you. Dr Samuel Ekundayo
