Your Breakthrough Is Worth The Wait

Not long ago, my wife and I went to a restaurant for brunch.

We ordered something simple; pancakes and French toast. Within minutes, our plates arrived. But there was a couple seated nearby who had ordered a grand wooden platter filled with all sorts of delicacies. They waited much longer.

When their food finally came, everyone in the restaurant turned and whispered

“Wow!”

They had this sizzling whole fish platter that I had never seen before in my life.

That day, I learnt a truth: nothing “Wow” comes quick.

Beloved, maybe you’re in a season where it looks like others are being served before you.

Their careers are moving faster, their prayers seem answered sooner, their dreams unfolding while you’re still waiting.

But remember this: waiting is not wasting.

God is not late; He is preparing something bigger, something weightier, something that will make others say, “Wow, only God could have done this.”

Hebrews 10:37 says, “He who is coming will come and will not delay.”

Delay doesn’t mean denial.

Waiting is God’s way of maturing you for what He is bringing or maturing what He is bringing for you.

So hold on. Your platter is being prepared. And when it arrives, it will have been worth the wait.

Are you an eagle in a cage?

Picture an eagle in a cage.
No matter how beautiful the cage is, the eagle was not designed to live in a cage.

It was designed to soar on the highest heights and mountains with courage and flair.

No matter the lure of the cage, it can never surpass the freedom of the eagle soaring in all expanse of the skies in all of its glories and strength.

Like the eagle trapped, too many brilliant, gifted, called individuals are trapped in the cage of careers they were not designed for. They can never command their true worth and value, they can only eat the crumbs they are being fed by their captors.

The lure of salaries and pennies that will never satisfy keeps them in such cages. They would rather remain in the rat race than take the risks for their freedom and glory.

The Bible says, "If the Son (Jesus) sets you free, you will be free indeed." - John 8:36

As a child of God, you can break free! You were not designed to be caged! Any job that does not give you the freedom to express your gifts, talents and calling is a cage.

One of the biggest graveyards of purpose I see is this graveyard of unfulfilling careers.

People get jobs only for the sake of earning, rather than fulfilling their life's calling and pursuing what matters to them.

But here's the truth: The careers you were not designed for will not satisfy you. They will leave you with voids and emptiness.

At the end of your career, you would lack true legacy, influence and impact.

Your time to break free is now.

Always Seek Divine Clarity

At 14, I began to see visions of myself teaching adults in large halls.

It wasn’t a random trance; it was a prophetic glimpse of my future.

I didn’t fully understand it then, but something in me knew: God was calling me to lead, teach, and guide people into their life's purpose.

That vision became an anchor.

Through academic failure, visa challenges, financial hardship, and even a PhD termination letter, that vision kept me going.

The Bible says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish…” (Proverbs 29:18)

Vision is your escape from the realities of your predicament.
Vision turns your obstacles into opportunities.
Vision is what keeps you moving when everything else says stop.
Beloved, you need more than ambition; you need a God-given vision.

Before you pick a career, chase money, or follow trends, seek divine clarity.

Ask God, “Where are You taking me? What do You want me to see?”

Because once you see it, you can run with it; and no storm on earth can stop a man with vision.

When Clarity is Blurry...

In 2017, I applied to speak at TEDx.

Rejected.

In 2018, I applied again.

Rejected.

In 2019, I applied twice—both times, again, rejected.

But I didn’t stop. Why? Because I was stubborn about my purpose.

Like the widow in Luke 18 who kept returning to the judge, pleading for justice, I kept showing up. I kept believing that one day, the door would open.

Eventually, it did.

That TEDx stage didn’t come because I was the most eloquent or the most visible—it came because I refused to give up.

I’ve learnt that any success you desire in life will demand persistence. Not talent, not applause, not connections—persistence. When all else fails, try persistence.

When clarity is blurry, try persistence.

When the applause is absent and the doors are locked—try persistence.

Seest thou a man diligent in his work? He shall stand before kings (Proverbs 22:29).

If I could share one counsel with every dreamer, it would be this:

Be stubborn about your purpose. Be relentless in your pursuit. For in due season, you will reap—if you faint not.

God Is Not Slow, He Is Strategic

When I moved to New Zealand at the age of 23 with nothing but a word from God, I had dreams burning in my heart.

But doors didn’t open immediately.

I faced rejection, financial hardship, even near-quit moments during my PhD.
But every “not yet” was really God saying, “I’m preparing you.”

Today, looking back, I see how His timing made all things fall into place—better than I ever imagined.

Why am I sharing this with you?

See, God is not slow—He is strategic.
Sometimes, what we call delay is actually divine timing.

We want things now, but God is more interested in you, in your growth, in your development, in your readiness for what you're asking for.

The Bible says, “He has made everything beautiful in its time…” (Ecclesiastes 3:11). That means beauty is tied to timing.

Let me say that again - beauty is tied to timing!

Beloved, you can't rush destiny. You can't hasten purpose. You can only submit to it - to the process.

You may feel overlooked, but heaven has your name on schedule.
You may feel late, but you’re right on time in God’s plan.
Wait well. Trust God deeply. Prepare quietly.

Purpose has a time. And when it’s time, no man can stop it.

Even Champions Get Tired

Never Give Up

One day, during the second year of my PhD, I told my supervisor, “I think I want to quit.”

I thought I had hit a breaking point.
My tuition was unpaid.
My dad was also doing his PhD.
Mum wasn’t working.
My three sisters were in school.
No one in the family was earning; yet we were all chasing dreams.

My supervisor replied, “You don’t have to believe me, but I hope you do—if you don’t give up, one day you’ll remember today and be grateful you didn’t quit.”
That word changed me.

I stayed. I pushed. I graduated a year later.

Why am I sharing this?

I feel like telling you what my supervisor told me that day, and maybe it'll help you too:

If you’re overwhelmed, exhausted, and quitting feels easier—don’t.

Champions aren’t those who never felt like quitting—they’re those who didn’t.

I love the words of the Bible, “Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, we shall reap—if we faint not.” (Galatians 6:9)

Keep pushing. In the words of my friend, Dr Niyi, "Keep swinging"

The future you will thank you.

No Golden Spoon, Yet Helped By God

Looking at my life today, some might assume I was born with a golden spoon in my mouth. They see the progress, the platforms, the opportunities, the impact—and they conclude, “He must have had it all figured out from the start.”

But here’s the truth...

I wasn’t born with a golden spoon. In fact, I wasn’t even born with a spoon at all.

The circumstances surrounding my birth were far from rosy. My beginning was rough, humble, and almost forgettable by the standards of this world. There was nothing to suggest that I would one day stand where I stand today, speak as I speak today, or do what I do today.

But I was helped.

I was helped by God.

That’s the only reason I’ve come this far.

And that, dear friend, is why I’m writing this—to remind you that it doesn’t matter where or how you were born . Your background, no matter how limiting or disadvantaged, cannot stop God’s plan for your life.

You may not have had the best education.
You may have been born into poverty.
You may have been rejected, neglected, abandoned or overlooked.

But when God steps into your life , He rewrites the story.

He is not intimidated by your limitations. In fact, He specializes in using the foolish things of this world to confound the wise. He lifts the poor from the dust and sets them among princes (Psalm 113:7-8).

You don’t need a silver spoon, golden spoon, or any spoon at all.

All you need is His help .

My life is a testament to this truth:

God still helps men. He still lifts. He still promotes. He still turns nobodies into wonders.

And I believe the same will happen for you.

If you will let Him,
If you will trust Him,
If you will surrender your life to Him…

You will become a miracle.
You will become a wonder.

Your story will be one that generations will talk about.

So here’s my charge to you:
Stop disqualifying yourself based on your background.
Stop underestimating what God can do through you.
Stop comparing your journey with someone else’s.

Instead, start seeking God’s help.
Start walking in faith.
Start declaring His promises over your life.

Because your story—yes, YOUR story—is not over yet.

In fact, it’s just beginning.

You are next in line for a miracle.

How to Wait on God

Waiting on God is one of the most challenging yet rewarding aspects of our faith journey. It is in the waiting that our trust in Him is refined, our character is developed, and our faith is strengthened. However, waiting does not mean being idle; it is an active process of seeking, trusting, and preparing for what God has in store.

To truly wait on God, we must first trust in His perfect timing. Often, we want things to happen according to our schedule, but God, in His infinite wisdom, sees the bigger picture. Isaiah 55:8-9 reminds us that His ways and thoughts are higher than ours. When we rest in the assurance that He knows what is best, we can wait with peace instead of anxiety.

While waiting, we must remain steadfast in prayer. Waiting time should be praying time. Rather than complaining or becoming discouraged, we should bring our desires, fears, and hopes before God, trusting that He hears us. Hannah, in her season of waiting for a child, poured out her soul to God, and in due time, He answered her (1 Samuel 1:10-20).

Faithful waiting also involves immersing ourselves in God’s Word. Scripture provides encouragement, direction, and reassurance that God is working behind the scenes. As we meditate on His promises, we align our hearts with His will and strengthen our faith in His faithfulness.

Another key aspect of waiting is obedience.

Sometimes, God calls us to act in faith while we wait for His promises to manifest. Noah built the ark before the rain came; Abraham journeyed toward a land he had never seen. While waiting, we must remain faithful in the little things, serving diligently and walking in obedience to God’s instructions.

Waiting on God is not passive—it is an invitation to grow deeper in our relationship with Him. It is in the waiting that He prepares us for what He has prepared for us. If you find yourself in a season of waiting, hold on.

Trust His timing, remain in prayer, immerse yourself in His Word, and keep walking in obedience. In due season, you will see the manifestation of His promises.

From Breaking Point to Turning Point

Life has a way of bringing us to the edge, where we feel like we can’t take one more step. The weight of challenges, disappointments, and delays can press so heavily that we begin to wonder if there’s any way forward. But in God’s hands, what seems like a breaking point can become the very moment He turns everything around.

When Joseph was thrown into prison after being falsely accused, it must have felt like the lowest moment of his life. The dreams he once had seemed shattered, and his reality was a far cry from what he had envisioned. Yet, it was from that very prison that God lifted him to the palace in a single day. What looked like the end was, in fact, the beginning of the fulfillment of his destiny.

God specializes in turning painful experiences into powerful testimonies. The breaking point is often a setup for a divine shift. Hannah wept bitterly year after year because of barrenness, but in the place of desperation, she poured out her heart before the Lord. That moment of surrender became the turning point that led to the birth of Samuel, one of Israel’s greatest prophets.

Many times, God allows us to come to the end of ourselves so that we can fully rely on Him. Paul, in his trials, learned that God’s grace is made perfect in weakness. It is in the moments when we feel like we have no strength left that God steps in with His supernatural ability. The very situation designed to break you can become the testimony that elevates you.

No matter how hopeless things seem, God is never late. He has a track record of stepping in just when it looks like all is lost. The Red Sea didn’t part before the Israelites got there—it parted when they stepped forward in faith. Lazarus wasn’t healed before he died, but he was resurrected so that God’s glory could be revealed. Your breaking point is not the end; it is the threshold of transformation.

If you are at your breaking point today, take heart. God is not done with you.

What looks like a setback is simply a setup for His greater plan.

Trust Him, hold on, and watch as He turns your breaking point into a glorious turning point.

God Can Make Up for Lost Time

Time is one of the most precious gifts we have, yet many people live with the regret of wasted years—decisions they wish they had made sooner, opportunities they feel have slipped away, or setbacks that have delayed their progress. If you have ever felt like you are running behind in life, I have good news for you: God can make up for lost time!

One of the most powerful promises in Scripture is found in Joel 2:25, where God declares, “I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten.” This means that no matter how much time seems to have been lost, God has the ability to restore and redeem it. What took others years to accomplish, God can make happen for you in moments. He is not limited by human timelines—He is the author of time itself!

Many times, we equate delays with failure, but in God’s plan, a delay is not a denial. Look at Joseph—he spent years in slavery and prison for a crime he didn’t commit, yet in one day, God lifted him from the prison to the palace (Genesis 41:14). What seemed like wasted years were actually a divine setup for his ultimate purpose.

When God steps into your situation, He can accelerate your progress beyond human explanation. Sarah gave birth to Isaac at 90 years old (Genesis 21:1-2), proving that age and time do not limit what God can do. Even if you feel like you’ve missed your moment, God can create new opportunities that surpass anything you’ve lost.

God’s restoration doesn’t come by wishful thinking—it comes through faith and obedience. Isaiah 40:31 reminds us that “those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.” Waiting on God is not passive; it’s an active trust that keeps moving forward in faith, believing that He will bring His promises to pass.

The enemy wants you to believe that it’s too late, but God says otherwise. If He could restore Job’s fortunes and give him double for his losses (Job 42:10), He can do the same for you. No matter what you’ve lost—time, opportunities, relationships, or even years of wandering—God is able to restore and reposition you for greatness.

So, take heart. You are not behind. You are right where God needs you to be, and He is more than able to make up for lost time.

Trust Him, keep moving forward, and watch Him restore all that seemed lost.

Don't Be An Old Wineskin

As I was praying for the new year, I heard in my Spirit, "Don't be an old wineskin."

Looking into the scriptures, I found references in the gospels where Jesus talked about old and new wineskins.

In Luke 5, Jesus said, "No one puts a piece from a new garment on an old one; otherwise the new makes a tear, and also the piece that was taken out of the new does not match the old. And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine will burst the wineskins and be spilled, and the wineskins will be ruined. But new wine must be put into new wineskins, and both are preserved. And no one, having drunk old wine, immediately desires new; for he says, 'The old is better.'"

The context of this scripture was when the Pharisees came criticizing Jesus for not letting His disciples fast like the disciples of John did. They were criticizing Jesus for not following existing lifestyles or traditions. They wanted Jesus and His disciples to behave and follow the status quo.

You see, traditionally, people prefer old wine because they believe it tastes better. Jesus refuted that mindset and chose a new way of life. The Pharisees did not like that.

This is a new year, and it is seductive and tempting to want to retain old mindsets and the status quo. You have to become a new wineskin for God to fill you with new wine.

In this new year, God is doing a new thing... He is releasing a new wave of anointing, new revelations, new insights, new ideas, new visions; but if you try to receive them with old mindsets and traditions, you will waste them.

Bottom line: if we want new wine, we need to become new wineskins!

Join me in praying that this new year, God will make us new wineskins. He will change our mindsets, as He said in His word, "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh" (Ezekiel 36:26).

Grace: The Catalyst for Productivity and Fruitfulness

Grace is a word that's often used in Christian circles, but its true meaning and implications are often misunderstood. Today, I want to challenge your thinking about grace and explore what it really means to live a life empowered by God's unmerited favor.

For many of us, the concept of grace has been misunderstood. We think that grace means we don't have to work hard or strive for excellence. We believe that because we're saved by grace, we can just coast through life and expect God to do everything for us. But that's not what the Bible teaches.

In the Bible, grace is not just a free pass to sit back and relax. It's the empowering presence of God that enables us to live a life that honors Him. Grace is what motivates us to labor, create, multiply, and have dominion over our lives and circumstances.

In 1 Corinthians 15:10, the Apostle Paul writes, "But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me." Here, Paul acknowledges that it's the grace of God that empowers him to work hard and achieve great things.

So, what does this mean for us?

It means that we must shift our mindset from being lazy to being laborious. We must recognize that grace is not an excuse to be idle, but rather a catalyst to be productive and fruitful.

In Genesis 1:28, God commands us to "be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth." This is not a suggestion; it's a mandate. And it's a mandate that requires effort, creativity, and perseverance.

Beloved, I urge you to embrace the true meaning of grace. Don't let misconceptions hold you back from fulfilling your purpose and achieving greatness. Remember, grace makes us labor and create, multiply and have dominion, not to be lazy.

Let's rise up and take our rightful place as sons and daughters of God. Let's labor, create, multiply, and have dominion over our lives and circumstances. The world is waiting for us to unleash the power of grace!

It is possible to achieve incredible things—things that no one in your family or generation has ever done. Yes, you can, and faith is the key. Faith is the spark that ignites the impossible and makes it possible.

Think of Peter, Jesus' disciple, who dared to walk on water (Matthew 14:29). He defied logic and stepped out of the boat, trusting Jesus. And he did the impossible! Peter's story teaches us that with faith, we can overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles.

To achieve extraordinary feats, start by daring to dream big. Please don't just limit yourself to what's familiar. Envision a brighter future, one that surpasses your wildest imagination. Then, take the first step, just like Peter did. Step out of your comfort zone and trust God's guidance.

Dare incredible things! Your breakthrough awaits. Believe in yourself, believe in God, and watch impossibilities become realities.

Have you ever wondered why God wants you to have wealth?

It's not just about enjoying a comfortable life, but about fulfilling your purpose and using your gifts to make a meaningful impact.

Think of Joseph of Arimathea, a wealthy follower of Jesus who generously provided his own tomb for Jesus' burial. Joseph's wealth enabled him to serve God and others in a significant way.

Wealth gives us the resources to share our talents and abilities with the world. When we have the financial means, we can invest in our passions, support worthy causes, and bless others. God wants us to prosper, not just financially, but in every aspect of our lives, so we can live out our purpose and make a difference.

Joseph's story teaches us that wealth is not just a blessing, but a tool for serving others. His wealth allowed him to provide a dignified burial for Jesus, demonstrating his faith and love. Similarly, when we use our wealth to further God's kingdom, we honor Him and bring glory to His name.

The Greatest Oppression

Satan has many tactics to keep us from living out our full potential in Christ, but perhaps his most effective strategy is to make us feel like we're just not enough.

He whispers lies in our ears, telling us we're not good enough, smart enough, talented enough, or loved enough. He wants us to believe that we're incomplete, inadequate, and insufficient.

But know this: nothing completes us like Jesus. He is the missing piece we've been searching for, the one who makes us whole. When we put our faith in Him, He fills the gaps in our lives and makes us enough. Not because of our own merits or abilities, but because of His love and grace.

Satan's lies can be overwhelming, but we don't have to believe them. We can choose to focus on the truth of God's Word, which tells us that we are enough because of Jesus. We are loved, we are valued, and we are worthy - not because of what we do, but because of who we are in Christ.

So, let's reject the lies of Satan and embrace the truth of our identity in Christ. Let's remember that nothing completes us like Jesus, and that He is enough for us.

When we rest in His sufficiency, we'll find freedom from the oppression of Satan's lies and the confidence to live out our faith with boldness and joy.

FIGHTING FEARS

Fighting Fears

Fighting fear starts with what we believe.

Often, our fears stem from misconceptions about God, our loved ones, and the people around us. We may unknowingly harbor negative beliefs, assuming the worst about others or doubting God's goodness. But what if we could reframe these thoughts and replace fear with faith?

When it comes to God, do you believe He's loving and kind, or distant and uninvolved? Our perception of God's character greatly impacts our ability to trust Him in uncertain times. If we believe God is good, we'll be more likely to trust Him with our fears and worries. Let's focus on His goodness and promises, allowing His love to dispel fear.

In our relationships, do we assume the worst about our spouse or others, or do we choose to believe the best? Our beliefs about others can lead to fear, anxiety, or stress. When we assume negative intentions or expect the worst, we create a self-fulfilling prophecy. But when we choose to believe the best, we open ourselves up to deeper connections and more harmonious relationships. Let's work on building trust and understanding, fostering healthy relationships.

We must become mindful of what we believe about God, our spouse, and people around us, so we can combat fear and cultivate a more peaceful, loving heart. Let's choose to believe truth, not lies, and watch our lives transform. Remember, our beliefs have the power to either fuel fear or overcome it. Choose faith, and watch fear fade away.

Additionally, here are some practical steps to help you fight fear by being mindful of your beliefs:

- Identify negative beliefs and challenge them with truth

- Focus on God's goodness and promises

- Practice trust and understanding in your relationships

We all face worries and uncertainties in life. They can creep in unexpectedly, making our minds race and our hearts feel heavy. But here's the amazing thing: God doesn't lead us through anxiety.

Instead, He guides us with His peace and wisdom. He wants us to experience His calm and confidence, even in the midst of chaos.

So, when anxiety knocks on your door, here's what you can do:

- Take a deep breath and pray. Invite God into your worries and concerns.

- Share your worries with God - He's always listening! Be honest and open with Him about your fears and doubts.

- Seek God's knowledge and guidance. His Word is full of promises and encouragement. Find comfort in His truths and let them shape your thoughts and actions.

- Focus on the present moment. Don't let worries about tomorrow or yesterday steal your peace today. Mindfulness and presence can help calm your mind and heart.

- Remember, God's got you! He's working everything out for your good, even when you can't see it. Trust Him, and watch your anxiety fade away.

You are loved, capable, and strong! Keep moving forward, and know that God is with you every step of the way. He's your rock, your refuge, and your guide. With Him by your side, you can face anything that comes your way.

This Can Make You Loose Everything

Today, I'd like to talk about something that can sneak up on us and steal everything we hold dear—pride!

Pride is like a thief in the night; it can creep in unnoticed and rob us of our relationships, our joy, and even our connection with God. And the scary thing is, we often don't even realize it's happening until it's too late.

But here's the thing: pride is anti-God. When we let pride take the wheel, we're essentially saying that we know better than God, that we can handle things on our own without His help. And that's just not true. God is the one who gives us life, who gives us breath, and who gives us purpose. When we let pride in, we're pushing Him out.

So, what does pride look like in our lives? It can look like an inflated sense of self-importance, a need to always be right, or a refusal to listen to others. It can also look like competition, comparison, and criticism. And if we're not careful, pride can lead to damaged relationships, missed opportunities, and even lost dreams.

Have you ever felt like you're just going through the motions, making decisions just to survive, rather than truly living?

It's easy to get caught up in making choices based on fear, doubt, or what others think we should do. But what if you could make decisions aligning with your purpose and values, just like Jesus?

Decisions have the power to either propel us forward or hold us back. And let's be real, some decisions can actually clip our progress and prevent us from reaching our full potential.

So, what are some types of decisions that might be holding you back?

Decisions based on fear or doubt, rather than faith and trust?

Decisions driven by what others think, rather than what God says about you?

Decisions that prioritize short-term gains over long-term goals?

Jesus didn't make decisions just to survive; He made decisions that aligned with His purpose and values. He prioritized His relationship with God, and He trusted in His ability to make wise choices. And we can do the same!

So, take a step back and evaluate the decisions you're making. Are they aligning with your purpose and values, or are they just helping you survive?

The Kind of People You Should Keep Off

Let's get real for a second.

We've all got people in our lives who can be, well, draining. And I'm not just talking about the occasional bad day or misunderstanding. I'm talking about the folks who consistently bring us down, make us feel bad about ourselves, and hinder our growth.

You know who I'm talking about - the lovers of self, who only care about themselves, their needs, and their feelings. Newsflash: we all need a little self-love, but not at the expense of others! Then there are the lovers of money, who prioritize wealth and material possessions above all else. Remember, money can't buy happiness or true friendship!

And don't even get me started on the boastful and proud, who constantly brag and look down on others. Humility is key, folks! We also need to be cautious of those who are abusive and toxic, who hurt us physically, emotionally, or verbally. No one deserves to be treated this way - ever! And let's not forget those who are disobedient to their parents, spiritual and biological, who refuse to listen, learn from, and respect their elders.

But that's not all - we also need to watch out for the ungrateful, who never say thank you, never appreciate the little things, and always expect more. Gratitude is a game-changer! And finally, there are the selfish, who only think of themselves, their needs, and their desires. We all need a little self-care, but not at the expense of others!

Here's the thing: we can't pour from an empty cup. We need to surround ourselves with people who uplift, support, and inspire us to be our best selves. So, take a close look at your inner circle.

Are there any toxic relationships that need a little pruning? Let's focus on nurturing the good stuff and cutting off the bad.

As we step into a fresh start, I'd love to remind you again that fear is just a feeling - not a fact! Don't let it hold you back from chasing your dreams and making your desires a reality.

This month, let's make a conscious decision to let go of fear and take that first step towards our goals by faith. Trust that God has got your back and that every step you take is ordered by Him.

Setting out by faith means taking the leap even when you can't see the whole staircase. It means trusting that every step will lead you closer to your dreams and destiny.

So, take a deep breath, be brave, and remember that every great accomplishment starts with a single step. Let's make this month count and make our dreams happen!

Where Wisdom May Fail

Let's delve into a crucial aspect of our lives: relationships.

We've all experienced the complexities of friendships, romantic relationships, and partnerships. It's a journey filled with highs and lows, and at times, it can be quite perplexing. We often trust our own wisdom to select the right people to share our lives with. We confidently think, "I've got this! I know what's best for me." But the truth is, our wisdom has its limitations and can sometimes lead us astray.

That's where God's instruction comes in. We get a clearer picture of who's truly good for us when we seek His guidance. We begin to see people through His eyes, rather than our limited perspective. We start to understand that our wisdom is not enough and that we need a higher power to guide us in our relationships.

So, where might our wisdom fail us?

We might choose someone based on surface-level qualities, like charm or good looks, rather than character. We might overlook red flags or ignore our intuition. We might prioritize short-term gains over long-term compatibility. But with God's instruction, we can see beyond the surface level and into a person's heart. We can discern healthy vs. toxic relationships. We can make choices that align with our values and purpose.

Let's not rely solely on our own wisdom. Let's seek God's guidance in our relationships. He knows what's best for us and wants to lead us to people who will uplift and support us. Where do you need God's instruction in your relationships today? Are you seeking guidance in a current relationship or looking for wisdom in finding a new one?

REVIEW YOUR RELATIONSHIPS

Not quite long, my family and I were packing our bags in our Air BnB and getting ready to head to the airport to board our flight back to Auckland when I got a call from my friend, Dr Niyi Borire.

He said we should catch up for coffee.

We caught up for over an hour discussing, planning and strategising for this year 2024. We discussed writing books together, improve our systems and structures, and how we'll inspire and mentor more people this year.

After our catch up, as I drove back to our Air BnB, I reflected on the importance of good friendships and having the right people in your life.

Why am I sharing this with you?

This is a new year, and it is an opportunity to review your relationships.

Relationships that drain you and add nothing to you should have little or none of your attention this year.

However, relationships that add value to you, inspire you, encourage you, prophesy over you, pray for and with you, correct you in love, and value you, you should make time to invest in such relationships and people.

It's dangerous to allow relationships be on auto-pilot in your life. Be intentional about your relationships, and a new year like this is a great opportunity to review them.

SET GOALS ABOVE YOUR LIMITATIONS

If you have not yet set audacious goals for this year, what are you waiting for?

I know they say goals have to be realistic but I have a problem with that.

See, the definition of realistic is: "based on what is real rather than on what is wanted or hoped for: not impractical or visionary"

I dare you to make your goals visionary! Let it be based on your vision rather than your limitations.

Let me type that again - set goals above your limitations!

I understand the SMART goals view of this but too often, I have seen people put limits on their goals - only aiming for what is within their means.

See some years ago, in 2018, I wrote down a goal to get 12 invitations to speak outside of New Zealand. It was one of the most unreasonable and unrealistic goals I set that year.

I didn't know anyone who would pay for my flight ticket to speak outside of New Zealand at the time talkless of 12!

Guess what? By the end of 2018, I travelled out of New Zealand 12 times! 50-60% of those events, my hosts were telling their audience they were also meeting me for the first time.

In fact, in 2018 was the first time in my life that I flew Business Class! One of my hosts flew me business class. Goals are powerful!

This year, I dare you to be unrealistic and daring with your goals.

Push beyond your horizon!

PUSH beyond what you have ever done.

PUSH beyond your paycheck.

PUSH beyond your salary.

PUSH beyond your parents'/guardian's pockets

Don't limit God in your life.

Don't limit yourself.

Come December 2024, you will have a BIG testimony.

WHAT DO YOU EXPECT?

Paul, observing him intently and seeing that he had faith to be healed, said with a loud voice, “Stand up straight on your feet!” And he leaped and walked.” - [Acts 14:8-10]

Expectations are very rewarding.
Faith is massive!

I have heard people say something like "don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed"

I beg to disagree.

I think you should have high expectations in life.

Every expectation you have is what you would get.

The man in the text was listening to Paul and was filled with faith in His heart.

And Paul could feel his faith! WOW!
Paul could sense the weight of his expectation.
And Paul addressed his faith and the man was healed. His life was never the same again.

What's your expectation like?
Maybe you have none?
Or you have very little expectation.

Truth is, you will neither be disappointed nor blessed.

A life without expectations can never be a beneficiary of miracles.

The Man at the beautiful gate was expectant.
Hannah in Shiloh was expectant.
Blind Bartimaeus was expectant.

What are you expectant for?
I challenge you to believe God for your miracle. Expect it. Have faith and watch your story change.

I was reading a bedtime story to my kids tonight and decided to stop at a point and told them we'd continue tomorrow.

Dreading the suspense, "Continue Daddy", they protested.

"No! You will know how the story ends tomorrow", I responded with a cheeky grin.

See, there are times in life you wish to know what tomorrow holds.

Anxious,

Eager,

Expectant,

Sometimes bewildered.

How will the interview go?

Will I get the job?

Will I get the contract?

Will they approve my visa?

Will my salary be paid or will it last me for the month?

Will I ever get out of debt?

Will I get the promotion?

Will my future husband/wife ever show up?

Am I going to be rich or will just be comfortable?

Questions over questions...

The good news is... like for my kids, you can be rest assured, Daddy has got the rest of the story in the palm of His hands.

In fact, He wrote the story so He knows what tomorrow holds.

And because He is your Daddy, you can be sure, "all things work together for your good..."

Stay calm.

Don't be anxious.

Worry less.

Be Still.

And know... that He is God!

He's in control,

Even in the storm.

Be encouraged.

Have you made enough mistakes yet?

Have you given yourself permission to make mistakes in the process of refining your gift?

See, you cannot be great by watching other people while you are idle.

You cannot be a great speaker by watching other great speakers on TV.

You cannot become a valuable musician just watching others do their thing.

You cannot become renowned by locking yourself indoors.

You have to be willing to step out of your comfort zone and into your destiny.

You have to get out there.

You have to risk the criticisms of others.

You have to step into your destiny.

You have to try and fail and try and fail, till you get it.

Practice. Practice. Practice.

John Maxwell, in his book Talent is never enough said that, "successful people practice harder and practice longer than unsuccessful people".

Destiny is not attained in the secret or being idle.

Let me say that again! You cannot be great in secret and you will never be great without showing up. You need a platform.

If no one is giving you a platform, create one for yourself!

You are the light of the world, not the light of your room!

After attaining what you think is excellence in the secret, you have to get out in the open!

Come out! Be known! Be seen.

The brothers of Jesus once said this to Him and I think they are right:

""...Leave here and go to Judea, so that Your disciples there may see the works You are doing. For no one who wants to be known publicly acts in secret. Since You are doing these things, show Yourself to the world." [John 7:3-4]

I feel like screaming that last phrase - "SHOW YOURSELF TO THE WORLD!"

Even Jesus knew they were right. He responded by saying, He is aware of His time and He is not out there yet because His time hadn't arrived.

If your time is right, you cannot afford to be in the secret any longer.

If you have to learn the secrets of personal branding, learn it.

If you have to get a mentor, get one.

If you have to pay to be coached, do it!

You are not your body!

You are your spirit man! You are a spirit!

Don't let science deceive you to think you are an evolved animal; no way! You are created in God’s image and likeness (Gen. 1:26).

This means, the real you - is your spirit man.

There is always a constant battle between your body and your spirit. This battle takes place in another part of you called your soul (your mind).

Reminds me of Joyce Meyer's book - The battlefield of the mind.

Your mind is a battlefield.

If you want your spirit to always win in this battlefield, all you have to do is feed it and starve your flesh.

I mean invest in your spirit and your flesh/body will no longer control you.

My point, in order to live a successful life, a life that fulfils purpose, we must always be in touch and on the same vibration/frequency with our spirit man.

To live without being in touch with your spirit man is to live a dead life.

This is why we must always invest in our spirit man through our soul.

How do we do this? We watch what feed on and we consistently feed on things that help our spirit.

We listen to, hear things, speak things, read things that help our spirit man grow.

Naturally, we spend more on our bodies.

I think it's a failure mentality to spend more money on a container and not care about the content.

I want to urge you today to budget more for your spirit than you do your body.

Your body is temporary and it shrinks with age but your spirit man remains alive till eternity.

Spend more money buffetting your spirit man and watch your life take a whole new turn.

Your purpose will find a spark.

Your potentials will find expression and you will feel so powerful.

The broken you is still valuable to God

The weak you is still valuable to God

The sinful you is still valuable to God

The addicted you is still valuable to God

The divorced you is still valuable to God

The outcast you is still valuable to God

The rejected and forsaken you is still valuable to God

The poor you is still valuable to God

The scarred you still have a purpose

The reproached you still have a purpose

The dying you still have a purpose

The hurt you still have a purpose

The broke you still have a purpose

The wretched you still have a purpose.

As long as you're still alive and breathing, it doesn't matter what you've done, where you've been, you're still valuable to God!

Don't let the devil lie to you that because you are broken, you should be thrown away!

Broken vessels are still vessels God is able to use.

I'm reminded of the scripture in Jeremiah 18:1-6

1 The Lord gave another message to Jeremiah. He said,

2 “Go down to the potter’s shop, and I will speak to you there.”

3 So I did as he told me and found the potter working at his wheel.

4 But the jar he was making did not turn out as he had hoped, so he crushed it into a lump of clay again and started over.

5 Then the Lord gave me this message: 6 “O Israel, can I not do to you as this potter has done to his clay? As the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand.

God still has a purpose for you.

The saddest summary of life contains 3 descriptions - could have, might have, and should have.

Don’t let the “what ifs” of life hold you back from living fully and dying empty.

You have a mission to fulfil, a purpose to live for and a potential to unearth.

Quit expressions like…

“If only I had more money, I would have…”

“If only I don’t have kids, I could have…”

“If I should have … when I was younger”

Nothing should stop you from doing what you could have, should have or would have done if you need to get them done.

Make it your mission to live fully regardless of seeming limitations.

Choose to be unstuck; choose not to stall.

You can be more, do more and live more. It’s your decision to make.

I LOSTMY PASSPORT

I LOST MY PASSPORT

We were about checking out of our Hilton hotel room in Houston, Texas when I realised my passport was gone! I had lost it. I searched everywhere, turned my bags and the entire room upside down, to no avail.

I called the Airport where I last saw it, and no one had brought it to the lost and found department. I also called the Uber driver that took us from the airport to our hotel, and he said he didn't sight it either. I was distraught! I was stressed! I was in shock! I wanted to cry but I couldn't find the tears. I paced the length and breath of the hotel room in frustration. I remember saying, “Lord, what is it that you want to teach me from this?”

I am not a careless person but this one got me!

I was due to travel to Canada the next day! There was no way I would make that trip without my passport. I called the New Zealand embassy in the United States, and they confirmed it. I would have to stay back in the country, apply for a new passport, and wait for it to be sent to me before I could travel to any other country.

All the plans I had for my visit to Canada were becoming blurry right before my eyes! I couldn't find the words, I couldn't find the strength, I was gobsmacked!

I picked myself up, went to the Police Station to make a police report. Thereafter, we visited a few places but the whole time, I felt my sapped. I was struggling to salvage my joy!

The evening came, and it was time to return to Dallas. Lo and Behold, at the airport, just as we were about to check in, a lady at the check in counter of the airlines we were about boarding said, “I have your passport”. I nearly passed out! I couldn't believe it!

The same Uber driver I called hours earlier later found it and took it to the airport and the airline retained it.

I could not contain my joy! I felt like screaming and punching my fist in the air at the same time.

Why have I shared this with you?

The pain of loss can be very overwhelming! Especially the loss of something very important to you.

But God is a God of recovery and restoration! God is able to help you recover all that you have lost, no matter how significant the loss is in your life.

You can trust Him, you can hold on to Him, Believe in Him, knowing He will never leave you nor forsake you.

His words says, “call upon me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you know not”.

God is still in the business of restoring losses!

This is your word this season, Amen!

Dear Friend,

Never be afraid to be different.

It's completely okay to be the only one with a different opinion.

It's a disease to conform!

Merriam Webster defined 'conform' as "acting in accordance with prevailing standards or customs"

You were not called to act in accordance with the world's standard. In fact, you were called to raise a standard!

No wonder the Bible warns in Romans 12:2 - "Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind..."

We're not called to conformation but to transformation.

Many people are living ordinary lives because they are trying to conform...

They are trying to look like everyone else they know.

Work like normal people.

Walk like normal people.

Talk like normal people.

Dress like everyone else.

Think as they all think.

Act the way the world expects.

Listen, to make a mark is to cause a stir!

It is completely okay to have a different opinion.

It is completely okay to be the one with a different mindset.

You don't have to dress like everyone else.

You don't have to study what everyone else is studying.

You don't have to marry when everyone else is getting married.

Don't try to preach the same message others are preaching.

Don't follow the crowd!

You were born unique!

Kings don't copy. Kings make their own rules!

You have a dominion mandate to chase. No time to be chasing worldly standards.

Don't belittle yourself. You carry God on your inside!

God is not a conforming God. He is the God of transformation.

When I was young, I used to think I have to struggle and hustle real hard before I can encounter wealth.

In recent years, I have come to realise true wealth does not come by struggle or hustle.

True wealth comes by FOCUS!

See, God has deposited in every man at least one tool (gift, talent, knowledge, passion, desire) with which to dominate in an area of life.

That tool is the source of your wealth and affluence.

If you fail to avail yourself of the tool, you cannot blame God.

As such, I would like to submit that we're all born rich.

All we need to do is FOCUS and give responsibility to our abilities.

Stop blaming people for the state of your life.

Stop blaming your government.

Stop blaming your ex.

Stop blaming God!

Stop blaming your employer!

Start putting to use and to work what God has given you.

What He has given you is POWER.

He said it Himself, "Remember the LORD your God. He is the one who gives you THE POWER to be successful..." - Deuteronomy 8:18

You are carrying power but your problem is that it is dormant!

The word POWER in that scripture speaks of "Ability"!

There is an ability you carry that you don't realise is a goldmine!

Give that power life!

Start doing something with it.

Release products.

Release books!

Release programmes!

The world is waiting!

You were born RICH!

HOW TO ATTRACT VALUABLE PEOPLE INTO YOUR LIFE

I have a friend who is quite well to do financially. I remember in our early days of friendship, whenever we talked, the way he talked if you didn't understand him, you would think he's arrogant or proud.

While I was not as well to do as he was, I never misconstrued the things he shared with me. In fact, I welcomed them, listened carefully, and enjoyed every bit of our conversations.

See, I was in an intentional process of working on my money/financial mindset at the time. So, I was like a sponge, soaking in all he had to say because I knew I had so much to learn from him if I was going to get to where I wanted to be financially.

I never argued, I just listened and learned. Sometimes, on the other end of the phone, I was taking notes.

Days, months, and years have gone by and I've since realized my money mindset has changed a lot because of our friendship, and other people like him in my life.

His mindset has rubbed off on me. Now, we think alike financially, whereas, at the beginning, it was not so.

Why am I sharing this with you? For three reasons...

1. The people you move with determines what you attract or repel in your life.

If you move with the right people, you will attract the right things and develop the right mindset. If you move with the wrong people, you will also attract the wrong things and the wrong mindset, and it's only a matter of time, you'd be doomed.

2. No one is better than you, they are only doing better.

So, when you meet people who are doing better than you, grab your pen and journal, it's a season of learning. You will do yourself a disservice trying to compete with them or become jealous or envious of them.

Whatever price you need to pay to glean from them and be in their presence/circle, please pay it. One hour with such people can save you one year of stress and hustling.

3. Be intentional about working on your mindset every single day.

This will help you become intentional about the people you meet. You immediately know who should mentor you, who should be your friend, and who you should mentor too.

This will also help you in developing yourself into a person of value capable of attracting other valuable people too.

NO ONE CAN TAKE YOUR PURPOSE AWAY FROM YOU

My wife met an old friend not long ago.

She's changed careers from what she's originally passionate about to something entirely different, absolutely not in line.

My wife asked why, and she said "this is what puts food on the table"

Why am I sharing this with you?

Have you exchanged your purpose in life for what "puts food on the table"?
Have you exchanged the work you were born to do for the work you're paid to do?

If you have done this, you may feel the early excitement that comes with earning big but such a feeling does not last.

Please, no matter what you do in life, do not exchange your life's purpose for survival. It's a great mistake.

What brings you fulfillment in life may not earn you much now but as you continue to grow and refine it, it'd eventually go up in value.

Nothing great starts great! Everything great starts small. Be comfortable doing things every day that brings you fulfillment and meaning.

Don't abandon the life of fulfillment, significance, and impact because it does not yet put food on the table.

Always remember, they can sack you from that job but no one can sack you from your purpose in life.

No one can take your purpose away from you.

MAKE SURE YOU GROW

Let me tell you about one of my coaching clients.

She began coaching with me in December. Let's call her Juliet.

In one of her sessions, I could tell her job had become a comfort zone, so I confronted her about it.

She admitted to it but had several excuses why the next level was almost unattainable.

I asked her what she thought the next level was and she told me, we wrote it down and set a goal towards it.

I told her to begin to apply to those roles and work towards a certification too. I kept her accountable.

Reluctantly, she summoned belief and began to apply for the roles and work towards the certification.

Few more months down the road, she got the job! In fact, the got the job in July! She couldn't believe it.

How unbelievable!

Wait, that's not even where I am going.

After tendering her resignation letter with excitement, two things happened that I want to share with you.

1. One of her colleagues asked if there are roles open for her at the new place.

2. Another colleague said, she has to up her game and progress in her career.

Why am I sharing this with you?

Your progress is the awakening someone needs that they need to progress too.

Your growth and progress pave way for others.

This is why you must grow! There are destinies connected to your growth.

If you are not growing, you are costing other people.

And if you cost other people their growth, you are wicked and lazy.

I didn't say it. The word of God says it - Matthew 25:26 - "His master replied, ‘You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed?"

The servant who refused to do something with his talent was called wicked and lazy.

Please kill wickedness in your life today by deciding to grow and break out of every limitation.

The world awaits your manifestation. Heaven is counting on you.

IT'S TIME TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY

I know a young man in my undergraduate days at the University who prays harder than anyone I know. He spends most of his days fasting and praying that he hardly had time to study.

In fact, he misses most classes because he was either on the mountain praying or at an outreach.

This attitude is common to most Christians.

Hear the words of Paul to Timothy: "This is why we WORK HARD and continue to struggle, for our hope is in the living God, who is the Savior of all people and particularly of all believers." - 1 Timothy 4:10

Hoping and trusting in God does not alleviate hard work.

Even though as Children of God our trust is in God, and we pray to Him daily and trust Him for favour, we must not desist from work.

One major principle God Himself does not bend is the principle of Hard work.

If you work hard on the right job, with the right tools, at the right time with the right people, you will succeed.

The Bible says it like this, "Work hard and become a leader; be lazy and become a slave." [Proverbs 12:24]

The reason why some Christians are not maximising their potentials is that they lack the balance between their prayer life and their work life.

They leave all the responsibility of their lives to God failing to realise, in every blessing, there is a part to play for both humanity and divinity.

If you play your part, God will surely play His part and the venture becomes a success that brings glory to His name.

Always remember, whatever you fail to take responsibility for will always be out of your reach.

Money will be out of your reach if you don't take responsibility.

Peace will be out of your reach if you fail to take responsibility.

Joy, Influence, Affluence, Wealth, Prosperity, Love, Promotion, Stress-free life, Weight loss... all these will never be within your reach if you fail to take responsibility.

There is a part you must play!

DO AKNOWLEDGE AUDIT

I sit in a very quiet place and I look at my goals. I take each goal one by one and ask myself...

"What do I need to know/learn in order to be able to achieve each of my goals?"

I always do this with my journal and pen so I can write out the ideas that come to mind.

I then would identify the coaching, workshops, seminars, YouTube videos that I need to access to help me learn those things.

In some of those sessions, I draft questions I would ask my mentors at our next meeting.

This is me being intentional about my purpose.

For anyone that would fulfill purpose, you have to do your knowledge audit regularly.

Ask yourself:
What do I need to know?
What do I need to learn?
What questions do I need to ask?
Who are the people I need to meet?
What conference do I need to attend?
What workshop or seminar will help me learn these things?
What course, what podcast...

The answer to some of these questions will cost you something - your time, your money, your comfort zone, and even relationships.

You must be ready! You must make a plan to pay that price.

So, when next are you doing your own audit?

STEP OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE

Last week I did two things outside of my comfort zone that were life-changing.

1. I accepted to be on a show where I spoke my mother tongue throughout.

It was not perfect but I gave hours of practice to it and did great.

My wife asked why I accepted and I told her it was intentional to challenge my comfort zone.

2. I accepted to do a 25 pushup challenge on camera and post on social media.

I am normally able to do about 15 comfortably but 25 was outside my comfort zone.

I couldn't do the entire 25 but I was very close.

Why am I sharing this with you?

When last did you do something outside of your comfort zone?

When last did you try something new?

Someone said, "In order to become someone you’ve never been, you’ve got to do things you’ve never done."

The only way to maximise your potential in life is to keep pushing your horizons; it's too keep challenging your limits; it's to reject status quo.

The worst regret a man can or will ever have is, after all, is said and done, he looks back at his life and wishes he had tried more things outside of his comfort zone.

Please don't live a life of regret. Don't just do things to remain status quo!

Strive to be all you were created and born to be.

You can do it and I believe in you.

So, are you committed to trying new things this week?

FALIURE HAS A VALUE

FALIURE HAS A VALUE

I have repeated classes twice in my life, yet I still graduated with a Ph.D. at the age of 26!

Let me show you how.

See, the first time I repeated a class was in my third year of high school.

I failed woefully and while some of my teachers advised my parents to allow me to proceed to the next class, in a way to save me from embarrassment, my parents refused.

Thank God they did! I didn't understand it at the time but it saved me from arrogance and overconfidence.

I repeated the class (the whole year) and passed excellently the following year.

The second time was my early days at the University.

I enrolled for the foundational (Pre-Degree) year of University and sat the entrance examination.

While I passed, I was not admitted due to some systemic inefficiencies and corruption.

I had to repeat the whole year. The following year I made it!

Why am I sharing this with you?

Failure has value! The value of failure is to learn from it.

My first repeat taught me that I was overvaluing myself and if I did not study, I would keep failing.

Study, I did! Failure provided me with the opportunity to begin again more intelligently.

My second failure taught me that life is not always fair but I can't let that affect me. I've gotta keep pushing.

It taught me perseverance. It taught me resilience.

In the face of failure, embarrassment, and corruption, I didn't back down!

I saw my setback as a setup for my comeback.

Guess what today? You cannot trace those failures in my life.

I ended up finishing my studies way ahead of the ones that appeared to have overtaken me.

Listen, failure has value. Learn from it. Quit the crying. There is a whole lot ahead of you.

FAITH

One of the strongest demonstrations of your FAITH in God is doing what He has called you to do even if it doesn’t make logical sense.

�� Noah was called to build an ark that didn’t make any logical sense in his time.

�� Abraham was asked to leave his comfort zone and safety to a land he had no idea, no pin and no destination.

�� Gideon was asked to go to war with just 300 men when he had over 30,000 at his disposal.

�� David was a teenager facing a giant with years of experience under his belt, with just a sling and a few stones.

Stop using logical reasoning or fact checking for your calling. FAITH is the currency of purposeful fulfilment.

Let me say that again, FAITH is the currency of a fulfilled life.

CHANGE IS A PROCESS AND COMMITTMENT IS THE FUEL

It's a new year, and I know you are determined. I know this because you have goals, you have resolutions.

You want to lose weight,

you want to be a better person,

you want to make more money,

you want to repair relationships,

you want to break old habits...

You've written them down and you're pumped! You've told your neighbours, friends and anyone who cares to listen that it's a "NEW YEAR, NEW ME" season.

I need you to remember this - CHANGE is not a switch! Change doesn't just happen because you have decided to change.

Your decision to change is the first step in the PROCESS that CHANGE is.

You may not see the results instantly. Scratch that! You won't see the results instantly!

You won't suddenly lose 5Kg in one week or make $5,000 in one week if you are not close to achieving these before now.

So, be conscious that this is a process and your commitment to the process is more important than the results you are seeking.

What do I mean?

There would be times you would question your determination, there would be times you will fail in your commitment, don't let these stop you.

You can achieve your goal, as long as you realize you are on a journey!

No matter how many times you fall on this journey, rise up again!

Don't be like those people who fall and stay fallen.

If you want to read the entire Bible this year and you missed a day, go for it the second day. Don't stay down!

If you want to lose weight this year, and you end up falling for the temptation of a pile of cheesecake one day, get back on track the next day.

Don't throw in the towel.

CHANGE IS A PROCESS, A JOURNEY, AND YOUR COMMITMENT IS THE FUEL.

The first sentence in the Bible declares, “In the Beginning, God created…”

The very first thing God did was create. This year is new and this is the beginning, emulate God too by creating things you want in this year.

How did God do it?

He spoke things to being!

The Bible said the earth was empty and void but as God started to speak, things started happening and the earth was no longer empty and void.

This year is still empty; you can begin to fill it with things you create with your words.

Take some minutes out of your time today in solitude, just creating with your words, declaring things into the atmosphere about your home, marriage, career, relationships, health and all areas of your life.

Emulate God and get the same results! Everything God created was good; so, will be yours!

CHECK YOUR HEART

I love playing Chess. It's a game of strategy and focus.

For more than a decade now, its been one of the games I'm very fond of. And no, I'm not great at it (my rating flunctuates between 1400 and 1600) but I love playing it, especially in between highly productive work.

I noticed something recently. There are times its like I'm on a losing streak. On such runs, no matter the strategy, opening, or trick I play, I always lose.

On other days, I play extremely well like a grandmaster, and I'll be on a winning streak for days!

Why am I sharing this with you?

Recently, I sat down to consciously examine why I get on those winning or losing streaks and I made some realisations I would like to share with you.

You see, on those days I find myself losing repeatedly, they are days I'm stressed and my mind isn't in the right place.

But those days I'm on a winning streak, they are days my mind is at peace, well rested and just enjoying myself.

I realised, everything is an outflow of what is going on inside me. If I'm winning on the inside, I'll be winning on the outside, when I'm losing on the inside, I'll always be losing on the outside.

No wonder the Bible says, "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it" - Proverbs 4:23

Everything you do, every result you get, every outcome flows from your heart - the state of your mind.

If you find yourself losing in any area of your life, check your heart. There is no smoke without fire.

ASK AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE

ASK AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE

Some years ago, I had an idea to collaborate with one of my mentors on a project.

The idea seems rather absurd because I haven’t asked anything of this sort before. I struggled in my mind for days if I should even bring it up. I spoke to my wife, and thankfully, she loved the idea - that gave me the nudge.

I summoned the courage, picked the phone the next day, and called my mentor. Through a lot of stuttering, I finally popped the question - “Sir, I have this idea I think we should work on - would you be willing to work with me on it?”

To my greatest surprise, he not only answered yes, but he also said, it’s something he’s been praying about for a long time and I was the answer to the prayer. “I don’t even have to think about it or pray about it. You are the answer to my longstanding prayers”, he continued.

You guessed it, I couldn’t contain my excitement. It was as though I’d just won a million dollars.

Why am I sharing this with you?

There is one key principle that is sure to get you anything you want in life, it’s ASKING!

So many people are afraid to ask for what they want, and as a result, they never get it. These people always end their lives in regrets. They never asked for the pay raise, or the hand of that person they are in love within marriage.

Remember, ASK AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE. It's more like saying, "Don't ask, and you won't receive". It's almost that simple!

There are three key reasons people never get to ASK:

1. They fear rejection - they can’t handle being told NO. You need to develop resilience in the face of rejection and keep asking till you get a YES, either from the same person or someone else.

2. They lack confidence or don’t know how to ask - Confidence is not a gift; it’s believing in yourself enough to put yourself out there. You can work on your confidence every day!

3. They have a mindset that asking is BEGGING - they feel asking anyone for anything is wrong. This may have its roots in their upbringing and they’ve been hardwired and programmed as a result. You can reprogramme yourself today.

The only way you are going to get what you want on earth is by ASKING! You have to demand it. No demand, no supply.

One of my favourite highlights some weekends ago.

It’s the first time I’ll be taking a Photo with the men in blue in New Zealand.

When I saw them, I just got the idea to have a photo with them, and I took the leap to ask my wife to help me use my phone for a photo.

I went ahead to ask their permission, which they granted so happily.

Why am I sharing this with you?

This week and beyond, there’d be a few godly and beautiful ideas that will drop in your mind, to advance your life’s purpose and God’s kingdom.

Don’t talk yourself out of it.

Don’t let other people talk you out of it.

Don’t let fear get the best of you.

Don’t let self-doubt or self-devaluation make you feel unworthy.

Go ahead, and get start.

Go ahead and just do it!

Another lesson was that my wife encouraged my idea. Such a sweet woman! She encourages my ideas.

Please surround yourself with people who are committed to your growth and life’s purpose.

The more people you have around you who are committed to your growth, success and life’s purpose, the more you’ll rise!

YOU CARRY SOMETHING!

YOU CARRY SOMETHING

Recently, God was showing me something about the life of Samson that I want to share with you.

A man named Manoah had a wife who had been barren for years, and one day an angel appeared to her that she was going to have a son.

The son was going to be very special. He was going to be the next judge and deliverer of Israel. As a result, she was asked to be careful what she ate or drank.

See it for yourself,

"The angel of the Lord appeared to Manoah’s wife and said, “Even though you have been unable to have children, you will soon become pregnant and give birth to a son. So be careful; you must not drink wine or any other alcoholic drink nor eat any forbidden food” - Judges 13:3-4

Later on in that chapter, God also spoke to the husband relaying the same information because of the importance of the child they’re carrying.

Why am I sharing this with you?

To remind you that you are carrying something!

You are carrying something within you that will change nations and transform generations after you.

You may not be aware or have forgotten, and as a result, be taking your life and purpose for granted.

In addition, because of what you’re carrying, you cannot afford to behave anyhow! You cannot afford to do what others are doing.

Others may be doing it, and they’re not harmed but you can’t afford it. You can't eat or drink what they're taking because you are different!

If you do it, you may be threading dangerously because of what you’re carrying. YOUR CASE IS DIFFERENT! YOU ARE A CHOSEN GENERATION, A ROYAL PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION WITH A CALLING!

If you do it, you are likely to miscarry what you’re carrying! What you’re carrying is too precious to act anyhow, talk anyhow, or live anyhow.

Just like the angel told the woman, “BE CAREFUL”, I have come to remind you today, to live carefully because of what you’re carrying.

God is counting on you and generations await God’s manifestations through you.

You’re carrying something! Be careful!

You were created an eternal being but in time to fulfil a specific purpose.

While your time here on earth is finite, your purpose is not. God’s purpose was designed to outlast your time here.

This is why God put eternity in your heart so you can see and live beyond time.

This is why every man possesses a desire to live beyond his or her time. This is also why your life would only be meaningful when you live for a purpose that’s bigger than you.

God made it so. Our time here can only be maximised when used for the purpose for which we’re put in time; otherwise, we’ll spend eternity regretting living a purposeless life.

The choice is yours. The time has come to discover God’s purpose for your life.

I was about 10 years old when a friend tried to teach me how to ride a bicycle.

From the excitement of watching my friends and other young kids in the neighbourhood ride their bicycles to the thrill of looking cool, I couldn't wait.I had visualised that day for months!

I was grinning from ear to ear.

I was asked to settle on the bike, place both feet on the pedals, look straight ahead and pedal away!It was all fun until I started to wobble, falter and fall.

My excitement started dwindling when it became apparent it was no easy feat.The toughest part was being told to look forward whilst peddling the bicycle. "Look straight, stop looking at the pedal else you will fall", he yelled severally. It looked impossible! It was very hard!

No, I didn't get it the first time. It took me lots of practice to eventually get it right, and that was because I never gave up.

Why I am sharing this with you?

The best things in life will require you to keep your gaze ahead! There are some things you will never attain in life without focus!

Too many of us are distracted by too many things, yet we want the rhythm of life to work in our favour; it's impossible.

Road accidents are often caused by distractions! It's dangerous to keep looking around or looking back while you drive.

Your effectiveness is hinged on your ability to identify and focus on your life's mission.

Always remember, what others are doing, and what they think about you are none of your business.

Keep your gaze straight. Stay focus and steady! Keep working hard, on yourself, and on your craft. You will get there in the end.

Some time ago, my wife and I got the vision to begin the School of Purpose and Influence (SPIN).

Even though I'm a lecturer, I didn't really know how to go about the vision.

While I understood some of the components that would go into it including the curriculum, vision, and objectives, etc., I was unclear about so many other things.

I was praying one day when God dropped the name of one of my friends in my spirit. She runs a successful academy with thousands of students. I shared it with my wife.

We didn't hesitate to reach out to her. We scheduled a zoom call straight away and discussed the vision of SPIN.

In less than two hours, everything became very clear. She graciously shared with us had the blueprint to kickstart the vision.

As I speak, the school is going strong with hundreds of students enrolled and over 20 volunteers.

Why am I sharing this with you?

So many of us have successful friends or people in our community but we are afraid to approach them and ask them for information, direction, or guidance.

Either, we are afraid of rejection or pridefully, believe we could do it all on our own.

If you are afraid of rejection, let me ask you, what is the worst that could happen?

They won't tell you what they know, right? That's not a loss, is it? You already don't know, so it can't get any worse. Don't let your pride get in the way.

Interestingly, most successful people are usually very willing to share what they know or mentor others.

If you are thinking about doing it all on your own, then be ready to go the hard, long, and boring way.

The reason God puts people ahead of us is so that we can learn the way because they've gone the way. Humble yourself and send them a message.

Fulfilling purpose is not a competitive but collaborative endeavour. God's purpose for you takes into account the relationships and people you would work with.

Let me mention, you may need to pay for the time of that successful person or serve them to get into their circle, but don't let that stop you.

Also, you might need to go through someone close to them to get their attention. Do it respectfully, and humbly too.
